I had my 5 month appt. today. Everything's good. The heartbeat was loud and strong. I almost thought it was a little fast (and I know it should be) but it sounded too fast. The doctor said it sounded fine. And, he said the baby was moving around because the heart beat moved and did get quicker. He said babies in the womb are like the rest of us, when they move, the heart rate goes up.
Everything seems fine. I'm supposed to feel regular movements in the next week or two. I'm getting them now, but they're not regular yet.
The only bummer is that it may take another month to feel the baby from the outside. I can't wait for Jason to feel but I guess we have to wait a little longer.
The appointment was short and sweet. I go back in 4 more weeks, as usual. I'll get to schedule my glucose test which I can't wait for (note: that was sarcastic).

GOOD REPORT FROM DR. THINGS SHOULD FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GOING A LITTLE FASTER NOW THAT THE 5 MO. MARK HAS COME ALONG. THE FIRST FEW ARE VERY SLOW ESPECIALLY WHEN HUBBY IS STILL OUT OF THAT IMPORTANT LOOP/SEEING AND FEELING BABY K. MOVE. WHEN THE WEATHER GETS WARMER YOU CAN WALK MORE TO FEEL HEALTHIER AND LIGHTER. THAT'S WHAT I AM WAITING FOR MYSELF. HAVE A $20 OFF $100 AT BABYLAND, DO YOU NEED IT? WAS IN THE LOCAL COUPON BOOKLET WE RECEIVE.
Yeah, it's sort of moving faster now... but it's still slow. Jason should be able to feel the baby soon... hopefully!
Does that coupon expire any time? I could be interested but couldn't use it quite yet.
I haven't been to Babyland. I'll have to check it out.
Coupon expires 3/4/09. Babyland advertises "all at discount prices". But sometimes that means discounts on very expensive brand names. I will mail it and then you will have it in case you go window shopping. Ask Jason if he wants help painting. It will be good exercise for me.
